Hello, and welcome! I'm a novelist and essayist, and happy you're here. 

My new novel, OPEN WIDE, will be published in August 2025 by Abrams in the US and Harvill Secker in the UK. My debut novel, HYSTERIA, was published in 2020 by Unnamed Press.

My nonfiction has appeared in The Los Angeles Review of Books, The New York Times Magazine, and The Paris Review Daily, among other places. I’ve taught fiction and nonfiction writing at The New School in New York, NY and Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX. I live in West Texas with my husband, Matt, our daughter, and our dog. We all have the same hair.
